Your day at our virginia bed and breakfast begins with early morning coffee or tea on the Sunporch. Here you can see the sunrise over the gardens and mountains and listen to the early am songbirds, along with the cackle of our chickens. An amazing all homemade country breakfast is served from 8:30-9:30am in our historic 1770 dining rooms. Crackling fires in the old fireplaces during the Fall and Winter make the rooms so cozy. After your breakfast, take a gentle trail to the Roach River to wade in natural pools, enjoy the beauty of our mountain view, play Bocce on our regulation court, swing in the hammock, or swim in our refreshing inground pool. Other choices are browsing our extensiver selection of books in our library , catch up on your email using our wifi, enjoy a game of billiards in the wine cellar,
Planning a virginia day trip? Order a Picnique to eat on the grounds, or take to Monticello, Montpelier, the Shenandoah National Park, or various vineyards nearby. On Saturday from 5-6pm enjoy our complimentary Virginia Wine Tasting in the Library. Enjoy dinner in Stanardsville or Charlottesville at some of our favorite restaurants or check to see if the Inn is having a special cuisine offering. Don’t forget to enjoy our local Port and Chocolate that we place in the foyer at 8:30 pm as you relax for bedtime.
